Norris Reid - Give Jah the praises

The late Norris Reid had already released a handful of singles under his own name before he joined the Viceroys as a harmony singer. Although remaining a full-time member of this harmony vocal trio he continued to record as a solo artist. In 1983 he left the group to fully concentrate on his solo career, which led to two albums for Augustus Pablo 'Rockers' label, 'give jah the praises' (1979 ) and 'roots & vine' ( 1988)

There are only six vocal tracks on this album, but each one is followed by it's corresponding dub version.Two of them are probably two of the best known rhythms Pablo made,East coast dub ( east of the river nile ) and silent satta ( king tubby meets rockers uptown )
